it takes a while to fully understand, so if you drop it after getting confused, thats fine, but if you want to go through, heres some things you need to know.
When people do good things in the eyes of their religion, they "Gain" money for the afterlife, and vice versa. They recieve this money from their religions "bank", with JS finance being the bank for atheists.
When people die, they either immediately ascend to the afterlife after their funeral, or stay on earth as a ghost.
The only reason why someone would stay as a ghost is due to regret. When the regret is also hatred towards someone, they become a vengeful ghost.
If their regret is tied to a place, then they will become "bound" ghosts, who cannot leave that place. (this might not be true, they haven't really explained this much) If they are vengeful ghosts, they will be bound to the subject of hatred.
Once regret is resolved, or if they accumulate too much debt for their religion, they ascend to the afterlife.
If you are someone whose life was ended prematurely or do to the work of someone else, you immediately reincarnate. If not, you must atone for your sins by going through the he*** associated to your religion. For example, if youre atheist, then things generally considered as wrong would cause equal and opposite punishments, such as pulling on your tongue for lying. This is were money comes into play. Having money in the afterlife allows you to buy things that make he*** easier. For example, you could buy heating underwear for the ice he**. He*** are normally split between each religion, but if some are full, they can transfer people over to a similar one.
After you have fully atoned, you will reincarnate.

Pretty good on 19 Days
ITS ABSOLUTELY PEAK I AGREE WITH EVERY (POSITIVE) COMMENT HERE
But do note that after reaching the 1 hundred smth chapters it gets a bit messy and I lwk lost my progress on the story bc of it.
I would have given it a 5 star if it didn't mess up the chapters
(also, can any of yall tell me when the ACTUAL chapters start? I don't want to stop reading it)
