Pretty good on Priscilla's Marriage Request
Hello hello, baby. How ya doing? I'm doing terribly. Well not really tbh. Could be worse. Could be raining. Then again the planet is going to overheat into mass scale extinction taking all of us with it, so maybe it can't really go worse than this.
What do? As always, escapism is the answer. Read mangas. I'm sure everything will fix itself. And meanwhile, here we have Priscilla's Marriage Request.
How is it? Mmmmh. Kinda impervious to analysis, honestly. Art is good, writing and translation are mostly fine. The plot itself is plenty interesting, and the romantic floof is there. But. Ouch, watch out for that. Nothing good every comes after that god**** word. "I'm not racist, but". "Furry po** isn't really for me, but". "I know that you are noooot reeeaaally supposed to condone torture, but". Such a pesky word. Anyway, from what it seems to me, the hiccup here is in the characterization. It's not plain, by any means. Kian is a really particular ML, very soft, and loving. Meanwhile Priscilla is the definition of a girl boss. Their relationship is amazing, they work great together, their love is credible... but.
But something doesn't grip me. I think it's a matter of nuance. No, maybe variety? It's all very clear, you know? What kind of people they are, what kind of dynamic insists between them. It lacks a spark. A thrill. I'm a drama whor[REDACTED], that's what I'm saying. Still, perfectly workable. Just a little too relaxed for my tastes, especially if we are to go on for 120 chapters. The pacing is fine, again, but the lack of excitement in the relationship does begin to get a bit suffocating around chapter 70. That, and the ending is a bit rushed, being nonetheless very satisfying.
It's a 7½ on the Ivern Scale™️, from yours truly. I'm recommending it, since it's all around very competently put together. Mmmh? What's that look? Are you envious I complimented it, and not you? Ooooh, I'm sure you are a nice enough person

Rocks on Lucky Paradise
Grate, realisticstory. I don't understand haters comments about toxic relationships. This manga is beautifully drawn and shows how habit and addiction are often confused with love. And how difficult it is to get out of such a trap. How much emotion does it cost. And that it's not an easy fight.
