Tokyo Tarareba Girls

Rinko Kamata's life has hit a dead end after three decades. Her flourishing screenwriting career is now in shambles, she spends her nights drinking away at bars, and to top it off, she remains unmarried. As her younger counterparts enjoy their thriving love lives, Rinko and her friends Kaori Yamakawa and Koyuki Torii are left pondering over what went wrong with theirs. One fateful evening, while sipping on their drinks at a local bar, the trio come across Key, an attractive model, who reprimands them for dwelling on 'what if' scenarios. Fuelled by alcohol and anger, Rinko vows to bid farewell to her bachelorhood before the Tokyo Olympics in six years. The plot thickens as Tokyo Tarareba Musume chronicles the lives of Rinko and her companions as they struggle to find love in their thirties in a city that is dominated by the young, the chic, and the successful.
