Evolution frenzy

Thank you author for ending it in such a way, for not leaving us unattended and letting us view this masterpiece.

Honestly was a lot better then I expected and even though they had to rush the ending it was good I recommend a read

good action scenes but the story is just plain bad and generic

I dont do 1 star reviews... If I did this would be #2 on the list. Power scaling is completely inconsistant with it being hard to find someone who isnt awakened by chapter 50 which is like a week in. Author constantly forgets his own systems and makes up new ones ever few chapters. The only continuing plot point is that he makes a stupid decision and his sister gets kidnapped. It wants us to believe he is strong but he spends more time asleep after a fight than he does awake. In the first week his sister gets kidnapped or endangered 5 times, he sleeps 5 days, nothing he does has any lasting value to the plot. Oh I almost forgot... him and his sister are supposed to be little kids but they both magically turn into adults overnight. At least it explains mc changing. His sister just poofs one chapter and gets bre**** and about 5 extra years. Author is obviously new and young. I tried to stick it out for the decent art and starting premise but it became too much. I would not suggest this for most readers.

A pleasant surprise. The art is quite decent for a low budget manhua, most of all it's costant in quality and effort among environments/characters/anatomy.

And the power system is actually sound. The counterbalances to his growth are there, his abilities are defined and useful, if a bit generic, they are cleverly used, and I like the visuals. Fights do make sense. The only thing about it I don't really like is that rarely he gets a "get out of jail free" card out of his a**, like when he went into avatar state against the Batgirl. But, like I said, it's not the rule. Usually he needs to use what he has at his disposal. 

As for the notes of demerit, well. First of all, it has very quick pacing. A narrative pace should take your hand and help you go down a set of stairs comfortably. Evolution Frenzy just decides to push you down the stairs and yell "good luck, have fun!" at you. And I'm having fun, for the most part. It is enjoyable, events follow very fast, the plot comes along at a breakneck pace. But it is... Rushed. The writing is the same, devoid of any and all frills, just matter of factly plot pushing. Characterization is a bit shallow, too. They are not unlikeable, or totally devoid of personality, but they are simple. It's an action manga, so it is no surprise, but still.

As a side note, the characters' design, especially female ones, is subpar. I bet these girls are shivering 24h. Gibe em clothes pls. Or at least make the men shirtless, to balance. It's not because I am an horknee fu** IT'S ABOUT EQUALITY OKAY?

All in all, I found it enjoyable against my better judgement. It's between a 3 and a 4 starts, but since I'm feeling generous we will go with a 7½ on the Ivern Scale™️ and four stars.
