You won't find onsen, almighty katana folded 3000 times cutting space and time, bland rice with suppposed flavor, sake, harassment, physical abuse, torture or corn, bloodthirsty serial killers, revenge stories, useless romances downgrading the entire plot, no useless harem, mental disorders sickness disguised as cute traits in nipponland.

The teacher was fired from the frontlines and removed from actives duties after desobeying a lot of times the orders from the commander. It's almost a novelty because in japanese comics called mangas they considered orders absolute being rights wrongs or genociding friendly fire.
The corrupted council of knights holds the authority about the education, the training and the dispatch of the knights but they cling to tradition and have very poor decisions leading to losing the war.
Main character keith the mage will be giving practical lessons and ignore the outdated theories so the knights won't die because of poor education and bad leaderships.

The manga insists about the teaching of critical thinking and will never shoehorn one opinion. The main character has a very unique take about everything and the conversations with students will be refreshing and genuine.

The biggest flaw is that all the students have barely any defining traits or personality they feel like a giant hive mind with collective brain.
Keith the hero will never force himself in his students, there won't be love or useless draman and will his boudaries as to how benefit himselfs and the students to the utmosts.
He will only open up the choices they don't see about theory or fighting but always let them decide their future and actions.
