The protagonist, who runs a small restaurant in everyday life, is secretly "The Last Player," a top expert of a zombiesurvival VR game. One day, a real zombie apocalypse suddenly breaks out in the worldalmost identical to the game he has spent thousands of hours mastering. As the catastrophe begins, he awakens an ability to open "dimensional gates," allowing him to travel between reality and other worlds to prepare for the end. Former comrades start "logging in" to this new game fieldthe real world: an immortal "Rabbit Princess" who resurrects endlessly, "Purikez Guy" who controls monsters, and other overpowered weirdos with outrageous abilities and personalities. As the world collapses and the line between humanity and survival instinct blurs, he says, "This isn't a gamebut it's a battlefield I'm used to." Pushing toward the top of the apocalypse, the strongest explayers must decide, in the end, what survival strategy they will choose.
